The company Styx Naturcosmetic GmbH has a long tradition. Already in 1915, the grandfather of the current managing director produced ointments and tinctures with various healing and protective effects.

Hand in hand with nature

Today, Styx Naturcosmetic is a third-generation company that combines traditional knowledge with state-of-the-art technology in its natural cosmetics. New processes are constantly being used in the in-house laboratory to further optimise the effectiveness of the high-quality, natural active ingredients. All Styx natural cosmetic products are dermatologically tested, contain no paraffin oils, no silicones, no ingredients from dead animals and are of course not tested on animals. Regionality and sustainability play an important role in the manufacturing process at Styx Naturcosmetic, as all products are produced with renewable energy, eco-electricity. Styx obtains a large part of its raw materials from organic farmers in the immediate vicinity, thus reducing unnecessary transport to a minimum.

Natural cosmetics: certifications and labels

ICADA Certification: ICADA (International Cosmetic and Device Association) is a European service and lobby association in the field of preparative cosmetics, apparative cosmetics, natural detergents and cleaning agents as well as food supplements and foodstuffs. With more than 20 years of experience, ICADA offers a premium label for organic and natural cosmetics, which is particularly strict and reliable due to the double control system, and is close to nature due to the permission of relatively few additives (short positive list).

Austria BIO Garantie: Austria Bio Garantie was founded in 1993 as an organic inspection body. Its task is to control and certify organic products: from the original organic product to the final processor. The ABG works on behalf of the food authorities. Products certified by the ABG bear the code number AT-BIO-301.

ECOCERT COSMOS: Certifications ECOCERT is an internationally recognised organisation for the certification of food and cosmetic products. The defined quality criteria set a standard for natural and organic cosmetics.

STYX Naturcosmetic has been working closely with ECOCERT since 2011 to guarantee the highest quality standards. The company strives to achieve organic certification for all products in the ongoing process. Already certified products can be recognised by the ECOCERT logo on the Styc products.

Animal testinf free cosmetics (IHTN): STYX is a member of the International Association of Manufacturers of Animal Welfare Approved Natural Cosmetics, Toiletries and Natural Products (IHTN). (IHTN). This guarantees that the product range is manufactured without animal testing.

The logo "Bunny with Protective Hand" is an internationally registered trademark and has stood for animal-free cosmetics since 1979 with a focus on NATURAL COSMETICS, decorative cosmetics, detergents and cleaning agents in accordance with the strict guidelines of the German Animal Welfare Association e.v., Bonn.
